FAQ

  • Q: I'm a local producer in Grey Bruce. How can I get involved in this program?
  • A: All you have to do is e-mail food@foodlinkgreybruce.com and we would love to bring you on board.
  • Q: Why should I buy local food?
  • A: There are a number of reasons why buying local is important. First of all, local food just tastes better. It is not picked before it is ripe, and it is fresher than most food sitting on large grocery store shelves. Secondly, you're doing your part by lessening your 'food footprint' by selecting products that haven't travelled thousands of kilometres to get to your plate. Finally, you are supporting your local economy by keeping your neighbourhood farmers in businesses.
  • Q: Where can I find local food?
  • A: There are a number of outlets where local food is available. Visit your local farmer's market, see our farmgate directory or visit any of the local restaurants in our directory to taste some delicious creations.
